MANILA – More Immigration (BI) officers and employees assigned to the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) faces dismissal from their posts depending the results of an ongoing investigation by a fact-finding committee into the so-called “pastillas” scam.
So said Immigration spokesman Dana Sandoval said on Saturday as she confirmed that 19 officers assigned to the three terminals of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) were already relieved soon after the “pastillas” scam was exposed by Sen. Risa Hontiveros during a committee hearing at the Senate last week.
Sandoval added that “more heads are going to roll” depending on the on-going investigation being done by concerned agencies.
“Suspension will be a DoJ (Department of Justice) action,” she said.
