MANILA — The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has filed murder and frustrated murder raps against Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office board member Sandra Cam on Friday in connection with the killing of Batuan, Masbate, Vice Mayor Charlie Yuson III in Sampaloc, Manila, late last year.
Also charged by the NBI were Cam’s son Marco Martin Cam and current Batuan acting Mayor Nelson Cambaya for the slaying of the vice mayor that accordingly stemmed over Batuan town’s mayorship dispute.
It was gathered that Marco lost the 2019 mayoral election to Yuson’s son, Charmax Jan Yuson who was soon jailed for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition and Yuson served as acting mayor until he was killed.
The bureau also filed charges at the Department of Justice against the alleged gunmen Junel Gomez, Bradford Solis, Juanito de Luna and Rigor de la Cruz.
Yuson was mercilessly killed on Oct. 10, 2019, while having breakfast at an eatery on Vicente Cruz Street in Sampaloc, Manila. (Ismael Amigo/sovereignph.com)
