MANILA (Developing story) – AS of this writing, police are in the thick of things dealing with a hostage situation at a mall in Greenhills, San Juan.
City Mayor Francis Zamora said the police informed his office that about 30 people are being held hostage at the administration office of Vira Mall shopping complex in Greenhills, San Juan.
The suspect is accordingly a former guard assigned in Greenhills.
The local chief executive added the police accordingly reported that most of hostages are mall vendors.
Vira Mall has now been placed under lockdown by police a gunshot was heard from inside the mall.
Together with San Juan city police chief Colonel Jimmy Santos, and National Capital Region police chief Debold Sinas, Zamora is also inside the mall to negotiate with the hostage-taker. (iamigo/sovereignph.com)
