MANILA – The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Tuesday said three more police officers have tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), bringing the total number of cases in the police force to 22.

PNP spokesperson, Brig. Gen. Bernard Banac said the latest Covid-19 cases in the PNP are two 44-year-old males and a 34-year-old male, all assigned in Metro Manila.

The number of deaths and cases of recovery from Covid-19 in the PNP both stands at two.

As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, the PNP Health Service recorded a total of 299 Patients Under Investigation (PUIs), which consist of 68 Police Commissioned Officers (PCO), 217 Police Non-Commissioned Officers (PNCO) and 14 Non-Uniformed Personnel (NUP).

Meanwhile, a total of 1,384 PNP personnel are listed as possible Persons Under Monitoring (PUM), composed of 322 PCO, 1,007 PNCO, and 55 NUP. (PNA)
