BUTUAN CITY – The Department of Health in the Caraga Region (DOH-13) on Saturday reported the decrease in the number of patients under investigation (PUIs) and persons under monitoring (PUMs) for 2019 coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the region.
In a bulletin, the DOH-13 said that of the 54 PUIs, 49 have already been cleared and five are still admitted in various government health facilities.
As of Saturday, there is no more PUI in the region undergoing strict home quarantine.
Of the total number of 8,141 recorded PUMs, 8,088 were already cleared with only 53 remaining who are under monitoring by the health agency.
Caraga has only one confirmed Covid-19 case.
Meanwhile, DOH-13 said all the co-passengers of the region’s lone Covid-19 patient have been traced and contacted and that all have completed the quarantine period.
It added that eight family members of the Covid-19 patient have already tested negative for Covid-19 based on the rapid antibody tests, while the results of the two other members are pending results; another one has a pending polymerase chain reaction test result.
DOH-13 said it is coordinating closely with the Southern Philippines Medical Cente in Davao City for specimen testing. (PNA)
