MANILA – For the second straight day, the Department of Health chalked up anew a good number of recoveries that pushed the statistics on survivors of the killer coronavirus disease (COVID-19) close to the 1000 mark.
The DOH recorded a good number of survivors for the second straight day of 70, bringing the number of individuals who beat the disease at 932.
New infections, however, largely eclipsed the number of survivors as the DOH logged in Monday (27 April 2020) 198 more confirmed cases which now stand at 7,777, overall.
The DOH also said that there are now 511 fatalities after 10 more patients were reported by the agency to have succumbed to the disease as the world races to find the right vaccine.
