MANILA – The Philippine Air Force (PAF) on Wednesday deployed a UH-1D helicopter to help ferry some 605 food packs for families residing in Kibungan, Benguet which is not accessible to land transport.
In a statement Thursday, PAF spokesperson, Maj. Aristides Galang said the Tactical Operations Group 1 based in Baguio City deployed the aircraft to help the Office of Civil Defense-Cordillera Administrative Region and Philippine Red Cross Benguet Chapter supply food to families living in Barangays Baden and Tacadang.
“The PAF utilized its UH-1D utility helicopter and successfully ferried a total of 605 food packs (6,050 kilograms). The said relief operation only shows the government’s concern to those families that are difficult to reach during these trying times,” he added.
