MANILA – The Department of Health has on Sunday (03 May 2020) reported what could be the highest, record-breaking single-day count of 90 in recoveries since Day One in the country’s fight against the unseen killer disease.

And if was another positive indication, only four (4) more deaths were reported by the health department, decidedly the lowest incident in single-day fatality since positive cases of the bug breached the thousand mark in PH.    

Also on Sunday, there were 295 new confirmed cases and the country’s nationwide tally breached the 9K mark at 9,223.

Health Undersecretary Rosette Vergeire said the 90 recoveries moved the statistics for survivors to 1,214.

Fatalities nationwide is now pegged at 607 she said.

Cases worldwide

Meanwhile, cases of the coronavirus worldwide moved up to 3,428,422 including 1,093,189 recoveries and 243,831 fatalities.
