MANILA – Cases of the coronavirus disease in the Philippines has breached the 10K mark after the Department of Health recorded 320 new admissions for a total of 10,004 patients with COVID-19.

Of the new cases reported Wednesday, 06 May 2020 by the DOH, the National Capital Region registered with the biggest number of 179 (56%) new patients followed by Region 7, with 98 (31%).

Other areas accounted for an aggregate of 43 individuals (13%) infected with COVID-19.

Recoveries meanwhile, logged in another good number of 98 discharged patients even as fatalities were recorded at 21 for a total of 658 total deaths nationwide.

All of the data reported by the agency was verified by DOH’s data team.

Worldwide cases

Meanwhile, according to Google, cases around the world of the coronavirus increased some more to 3,663,911 including 1,199,389 recoveries and 257,301 deaths.
