MANILA – National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief, Maj. Gen. Debold Sinas celebrated his birthday on Friday through extending relief assistance to poor families in Metro Manila.
A total of 13,255 relief packs were distributed to poor families in the region as part of the NCRPO’s “Adopt an Indigent Family” relief assistance program.
A total of 1,200 families got food packs from the Northern Police District (NPD); 988 families from the Eastern Police District (EPD); 1,250 families from the Manila Police District MPD); 1,697 families from the Southern Police District (SPD) and 1,197 families from the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).
The Regional Headquarters/ Regional Support Unit handed over food packs to 601 families; while Sinas himself provided food packs to 6,000 families in Maharlika Village, Taguig City; Culiat and San Roque, Quezon City and Aroma, Barangay 105, Tondo, Manila.
Sinas conveyed his gratitude to all the members of Team NCRPO for celebrating his birthday in a very special way.
“With the great burden we are experiencing globally, I felt like it is also the best time to celebrate life. Sharing my day and my blessings in our community is my way to give thanks to the fruitful years that have been given to me,” he said in a statement.
He added that the NCRPO will conduct another relief drive on May 15.
The initiative is in compliance with the Philippine National Police’s “Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko! Adopt a Family Program” aimed at helping indigent families affected by the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic. (IA/PNA)
