MANILA – The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Saturday registered 35 new recoveries among overseas Filipinos (OFWs) with coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), raising the total to 824.
The total confirmed infections, on the other hand, stands at 2,360 following 30 new reported cases.
According to DFA, this marks the 4th consecutive day of more recoveries compared to new confirmed cases and fatalities among Filipinos abroad.
The death toll stands at 274 after five new deaths were recorded across the Americas, Europe, and the Middle East.
Based on its latest figures, the Asia Pacific region still has the most number of recoveries and the lowest mortality at 310 and two, respectively. The death toll in the Americas ranks highest with 148.
Of the overall tally, Europe has the most number of overseas Filipino cases with 690 followed by the Middle East/Africa with 685, the Americas with 540, and the Asia Pacific region with 445. (ia/PNA)
