MANILA – Registered at 10:10 a.m. Saturday, a magnitude 5.1 earthquake accordingly hit Aurora province in Central Luzon, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
Phivolcs said the quake’s epicenter was traced 15 kilometers southwest of the municipality of San Luis, Aurora.
The temblor reached Intensity VI (very strong) and was felt in Baler, Aurora while Intensity IV (moderately strong) was felt in the province’s Dingalan municipality and neighbor Nueva Ecija’s Palayan City.
Intensity 2 level was also slightly felt (Intensity II) in Quezon City, Metro Manila.
Aftershocks and damages to property are expected the Phivolcs said. (ia/SovereignPH.com)
