MANILA – On its case Bulletin No. 82, the Department of Health reported Thursday (04 June 2020) 634 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the total cases past the 20K mark or 20,382 to be exact.

However, under its new COVID-KAYA counting platform, there have only been 313 fresh new cases gathered from the past three days and 321 beyond three days for a total of 634.

The day’s fresh cases are based on the daily accomplishment reports submitted by only 34 out of 42 current operational labs the DOH said.

Recoveries marched on with 95 new survivors. This brings the total number of recoveries to 4,248.

On the flipside, the DOH logged 10 new more fatalities related to the severe respiratory illness, raising the fatality count to 984.

The DOH added that at least 345,577 individuals have already been tested for coronavirus in the country as of June 2.

Active cases, meantime, is only pegged at 14, 621; that is, after deducting the total number of fatalities and recoveries from the national tally.

The coronavirus pandemic has killed at least 385,000 people out of the more than 6.4 million infected worldwide.
