MANILA – The intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting the Visayas and Mindanao will continue to bring rain showers over these islands on Thursday, the weather bureau said.

In its forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over the Visayas and Caraga, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered rain showers or thunderstorms over the rest of Mindanao.

PAGASA weather forecaster Ariel Rojas said Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon may experience warm and humid weather but would likely experience thunderstorms either late afternoon or evening.

Light winds and slight coastal waters will prevail over the whole country.

Rojas, meanwhile, said PAGASA does not see any weather disturbance that may develop or enter the Philippine area of responsibility in the next three to five days. (PNA)
