MANILA — Confirmed cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Monday, 22 June 2020, saw an additional 630 infected individuals that raised the country’s tally to 30,682.

The Department of Health on Monday (22 June 2020) said that of the 630 count, 467 of which was validated as fresh cases from patients who tested positive for COVID-19 within the last three days while 163 were part of the department’s backlog of four days and beyond.

As it is, a huge number of 250 recoveries were registered by DOH that upped the total number of COVID-19 survivors in the country to 8,143.

The fatality count, meantime, increased to 1,177 after eight (8) more patients succumbed to the virulent respiratory disease.

The DOH said it has now conducted COVID-19 testing to some 547,373 individuals of Saturday.

Considered as epicenter of coronavirus outbreak, the National Capital Region will remain under general community quarantine until the end of the month even as Cebu City slid back to the more stringent enhanced community quarantine amid increased incidents of infections.

Worldwide, COVID-19 has already infected 8,918,101 including 4,408,110 recoveries and 466,548 deaths.
