MANILA – Southern Luzon, the Visayas, and Mindanao will have cloudy skies and some rains on Saturday due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ).
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, the Bicol region, the Visayas, and Mindanao will experience cloudy skies and scattered rain showers brought by the ITCZ.
“Possible flash floods or landslides in these areas due to moderate to at times heavy rains,” the forecast added.
The rest of Luzon, meanwhile, will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers brought by localized thunderstorms.
Susceptible areas may also experience flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms, it said.
Light to moderate winds headed southeast to south will blow over Luzon and the Visayas, resulting in slight to moderate coastal waters of 0.6 meter to 2.1 meters.
Mindanao will have light winds headed southeast to variable directions, which will cause slight coastal waters of up to 1.2 meters.
The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 25°C to 33°C; Baguio City, 17°C to 26°C; Metro Cebu, 26°C to 31°C; Tacloban City, 25°C to 31°C; Metro Davao, 25°C to 32°C; and Zamboanga City, 25°C to 32°C. (PNA)
