United States President Donald Trump is turning out to be a top pitcher for the experimental drug that he made him recover from his bout with the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Trump went  back to the White House on Tuesday after spending three days in a military hospital in Maryland.

“They gave me Regeneron … and other things, too, but I think this was the key, but they gave me Regeneron. And it was like, unbelievable. I felt good,” Trump said on Twitter on Wednesday.

He also declared his diagnosis with Covid-19  “a blessing from God” and even promised to make the treatments he received “free” to all Americans.

“I think this was a blessing from God that I caught it. This was a blessing in disguise,” he added. “I caught it. I heard about this drug (Regeneron). I said, ‘Let me take it.’ It was my suggestion. I said, ‘Let me take it.’”

He also called Regeneron’s Covid-19 treatment as “REGN-COV2.” Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. is the manufacturer of the drug, which is a one-time treatment through intravenous therapy.

“I want to get for you what I got. And I’m gonna make it free,” Trumps said adding he would have the US military distribute the drugs.

However, Trump’s battle with Covid-19 and his previos behavior towards the virus still does not  sit well with Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

“I’m going to think before I speak. I think it’s a tragedy the president deals with Covid like it is something not to be worried about when already 210,000 people have died,” Biden said.

Trump has been criticized for not wearing face masks during public appearances. He even defied the usual medical protocol of needing to go into an isolation for at least 14 days after recovering from a bout with Covid-19.
