Washington, D.C.: Republican Donald Trump shot back at Democratic Joe Biden for “falsely” declaring himself at the winner of the US president polls.
Trump also said that the US elections is not yet over and vowed to fight on to give Americans the democracy they deserve.
“I will not stop until the American people have the honest vote count they deserve and the democracy they demand,” Trump said in a statement.
Trump made a written statement after Democratic candidate Joe Biden reached 270 delegates and qualified to become the country’s new president, according to unofficial results.
“We all know why Biden rushed to falsely declare himself the winner, and why his allies in the press helped him, they don’t want the truth to come out,” Trump further said.
Trump emphasized that the votes will be counted again especially in the states where the race is very close and that they are suing in some states, “The results of the election will be decided by legal means, not the media,” Trump added.
The campaign team of Trump said that from Monday (Tuesday in Manila), it will initiate legal processes to examine whether the elections were held properly. Trump also emphasized that the Biden campaign team opposed them in determining the legally used votes. “What is Biden hiding? I will not stop until the American people have the honest vote count they deserve and the democracy they demand,” Trump said. SOVEREIGNPH AND ANADOLU AGENCY
