Davao Occidental was struck by a magnitude 4.3 earthquake on Saturday night, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The initial earthquake bulletin of Phivolcs showed the tremor struck 19 kilometers southwest of Sarangani, Davao Occidental at 9:11 p.m. on Saturday.

Phivolcs said the earthquake was tectonic in origin and had a depth of 165 kilometers. No major damage has been recorded from the quake and Phivolcs assured there would be no aftershocks. SOVEREIGNPH
