Maynilad Water Services Inc. announced on Tuesday that its water service interruptions will continue until November 29 as its continues to clean up the water basins in its treatment plant.
In an advisory also on Tuesday, Maynilad said it is still removing sludge from the third basin of the treatment plant, and that it will take five more days to fully clean up it up.
However, Maynilad said that its customers can expect shorter water service interruptions as build up of water in its pipelines is continuous.
Maynilad currently serves over 9 million people in the cities of Caloocan, Las Piñas, Malabon, Muntinlupa, Navotas, Parañaque, Pasay, and Valenzuela; along with most of the Manila and portions of Quezon City and Makati west of the Metro Manila Skyway.
The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System’s (MWSS) on Monday said it was probing the water interruptions of Maynilad in its service areas that occurred after Typhoon ‘Ulysses.” The water company said it would cooperate with the probe of the MWSS. SOVEREIGNPH
