Elements from the Philippine National Police (PNP) raided on early Wednesday a suspected safehouse of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Bulua, Cagayan de Oro City, where they also recovered a firearm, grenade and improvised explosives.
PNP-Criminal Investigation Detection Group northern regional chief Lt. Col. CholiJun Cadayac said that in raiding the suspected ISIS safehouse, they were serving a search warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court in Cagayan de Oro City that covers three houses in Villa Candida Subdivision.
The arrest warrant were for also for suspected terrorists Abdul Raman Limpao and Adu Galil Abubakar Tarwan, who were under surveillance by the PNP for over a month.
The raid took place a 3 a..m. on Wednesday.
“This is just a tip of iceberg,” Caduyac said.
Also recovered from the suspected safehouse was a flag of the ISIS. SOVEREIGNPH
