Obviously trying to slam Senator Panfilo Lacson, an ally of House Speaker Lord Alan Velasco said the latter did not have a hand in realigning some funds under the proposed 2021 budget.

House appropriations panel chairman ACT-CIS Rep. Eric Yap in a television interview on Monday debunked claims that infrastructure fund allocations for Velasco’s allies increased while those for allies of former Speaker Alan Peter Cayetano decreased.

“In fact, to set things straight, si Speaker Velasco, hindi siya nakialam dun sa mga amendments ng agencies (Speaker Velasco did not meddle in the fund amendments of agencies),” he said.

“I think Speaker Velasco nakita niya yung independence ko, na hindi po ako (Speaker Velasco has seen my independence that I don’t) clinging to the left and clinging to the right. I just do my job,” he added.Lacson has pointed out that among those who got budget cuts for their respective districts were Cayetano ally Camarines Sur Rep. Luis Raymund Villafuerte, who said last week that P386 million was deleted for three administration projects in the Bicol region. SOVEREIGNPH
