Are we ready for mRNAs? Lawrence C. Brody, Ph.D. explains Messenger Ribonucleic acid (RNA) a polymeric molecule also known as mRNA, are one of the types of RNA that are found in the cell. The use of mRNAs is not the traditional method of producing vaccines. To trigger an immune response, Live attenuated vaccine (LAV) are prepared from living micro-organisms (viruses, germs or currently available bacteria) that have been weakened or inactivated under laboratory conditions. mRNA vaccines instead teach our cells how to make a protein—or even just a piece of a protein—that triggers an immune response inside our bodies.

Lacson, Leachon, Monsod, Hontiveros, Ambassador Babes Romualdez.  Who else have joined or would like to join the bandwagon of fools who have attacked the Duterte government and DOH Secretary Duque over the supposedly “botched” contract with Pfizer to supply the Philippines with 10-million doses of vaccine for delivery  in  January 2021?

The name of Dr. Anthony Leachon surfaces again. Leachon served for a while as consultant of sorts to Covid-19 NTF chief implementer Charlie Galvez but was fired by President Duterte last June for criticizing DOH in the social media.

A few days ago, this Rappler “Civic Mover Awardee” once again got the ire of the President for badmouthing the government’s plan to procure China vaccines.

Has anyone considered that Leachon was  Medical and Regulatory Affairs Director of Pfizer Philippines from 1995 to 2010? Now Vaccine Czar Galvez said Leachon was difficult to work with – “May sariling mundo (he has his own world).”

And let’s not forget the usual outlets of the sycophantic local media who jump at every PR and propaganda campaign of the Americans. Witness Rappler with its headline “PH missed chance to get Pfizer vaccines in January because of Duque” and Inquirer with “Lacson bares how Duque ‘dropped ball’ on Pfizer deal…”

The Inquirer, whose December 19, 2020 editorial had a very dramatic title “Colossal irresponsibility”, reiterated the “dropped the ball” theme that originally came from DFA Secretary Teddyboy Locsin.

By the way, I am not including Locsin in my condemnations at this point as I read somewhere that he has recanted some statements.

Pies on their faces!

One day later, on December 20, 2020, all these Pfizer pushers found pies thrown at their faces, especially those who were vehemently and violently vociferous in blaming DOH Secretary Francisco T. Duque. On that day, an Inquirer headline reported, “Ambassador Romualdez says he may be partly to blame for botched Pfizer deal.”

“May be partly to blame”, my ass. According to the report, “In an interview with DZBB, Romualdez said he should have called on Health Secretary Francisco Duque III to immediately sign the Confidentiality Disclosure Agreement (CDA) with the pharmaceutical firm…”  Romualdez said further that Duque was right in saying that the proper review is necessary prior to the signing of the vaccines.”

Now it is clear that Secretary Duque was on the right track after all. And all the rest of the headless chickens from Lacson onward were wrong, including Philippine Star columnist Dick Pascual who had also joined in pounding on the Duque punching bag who, as it turns out, was the only one doing the right thing.

Dick Pascual, feigning as a critical analyst, came out with a column entitled “Who gave lead role to Chinese vaccines” that simply reflected the Amboy party line by raising unscientific and unsubstantiated issues versus the Chinese vaccines.  Actually, all he was doing was joining the chorus to ram through the Pfizer vaccine without the imperative scrutiny and safety procedures required by our legal system.

Dr. Yeadon vs. Pfizer

In “US-led vaccine propaganda”, my previous article on SovereignPH.com,  I showed how the American media blitz was mounted to dazzle the global media audiences into glossing over serious questions about the mRNA technology that US Big Pharma Pfizer and Moderna were using. I cited Peter Doshi who lamented the lack of data at the time media was touting the supposed 95% effectiveness of the vaccine.

Now we have former Pfizer Vice-President Dr. Michael Yeadon raising questions about the Messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccines and Pfizer’s boasts about its Covid-19 vaccine. In a report by John O’Sullivan in Global Research, website of the Centre for Research on Globalization, De. Yeadon expresses his objections in a letter to the UK Health Minister.

To quote the letter (capitalization mine): “ If any such vaccine is approved for use under any circumstances that are not EXPLICITLY experimental, I believe that recipients are being misled to a criminal extent.”

In Western global news reports, one will notice that the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are reported without the caveat that they are still “experimental.” And yet, these same reports would invariably describe the Chinese vaccines as “experimental”, even though their method of production are classical, unlike the mRNA.

Referring to the Pfizer vaccine, Dr. Yeadon says,

“You have literally no data on this and neither does anyone else… It isn’t that I’m saying that unacceptable adverse effects will emerge after longer intervals after dosing. No. It is that you have no idea what will happen yet …. But despite this, you’ll be creating the impression that you do.” Several of the vaccine candidates utilize novel technology which have not previously been used to create vaccines. There is therefore no long-term safety data which can be pointed to in support of the nation that it’s reasonable to expedite development and to waive absent safety information on this occasion.”

Keep in mind: the only “novel” technology being discussed in all the reports about the Covid-19 vaccines are the mRNA of Moderna and Pfizer and not the “attenuated virus” or “inactivated virus” vaccine development and production methods that are classified as “classical.”

U.S. investigating allergies to Pfizer vax

This Global News report by Michael Erman of Reuters, which was posted on December 18, 2020, headlines, “U.S. investigating 5 allergic reactions to Pfizer coronavirus vaccine. “This is what Dr. Michael Yeadon was concerned about. There is simply not enough information about the long-term effects of the “novel” mRNA technology.

To be clear: all vaccines can invite allergic reactions, depending on the conditions of an individual. However, some would say that the acceptable ratio is a million-to-one, i.e., adverse reactions to be vaccine should be such minimal if it is to be acceptable. Hence, extensive testing is required over a long period of time, particularly, for vaccines using “novel” production technology.

The Pfizer and Moderna mRNA vaccines have been allowed to take the shortcut route due to the “Warp Speed” project of President Trump to fast track these vaccines. Now, however, the problem may be showing its ugly head. Compared to this, the Chinese vaccines which have already been used on over a million people at this stage, have not reported any case of adverse or serious side effects.

According to the Global News report, “Dr. Peter Marks, director of the FDA’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, said at a press conference that the allergic reactions had been reported in more than one state, including Alaska… a chemical called polyethylene glycol (PEG) that is an ingredient in the Pfizer vaccine… ‘could be the culprit’ causing the reactions.”

idents.

One incident of allergic reaction is featured in the WION News through a video that showed the moment when

“… (the) head nurse at a hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn., caused a brief scare on Thursday when she fainted shortly after receiving the Pfizer-Biotech’s COVID-19 vaccine… Nurse manager Tiffany Dover had been giving a press briefing from CHI Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, about her team being among the first to be given the COVID-19 vaccinations.

“Dover was happily answering questions when she suddenly started trailing off. ‘All of my staff, you know, we are excited to get the vaccine. We are in the COVID unit, so therefore, you know, my team will be getting first chances to get the vaccine… And I know that it’s really … Sorry, I’m feeling really dizzy…”

Another report from the December 16, 2020 edition of USA Today headlines, “Covid-19 vaccine trials report cases of brief facial paralysis. That’s not as scary as it sounds.”

The facial paralysis is Bell’s Palsy, which is short term.

The reporter, Adrianna Rodriguez, may be braver than me but I do find that “facial paralysis” to be scary even if temporary as reported in the four cases of the trial volunteers.

A case in Alaska caused another scare as the health care worker in the trial suffered an anaphylactic shock despite not having a history of allergies and never having experienced anaphylaxis. The report added that the reaction was similar to those suffered by multiple healthcare workers in the UK, where the Pfizer BioTech lab was approved.

I wonder why those pro-Pfizer Filipino politicians and media pundits aren’t reporting these issues surrounding the Pfizer vaccine. It raises the question whether these Amboys and Amgols (girls) are being used by Pfizer to rush the Philippine government into buying its vaccine before these issues become a real problem to Pfizer.

There are many more issues to tackle regarding this vaccine supply for the Philippines. One of the issues is the capacity of Pfizer and Moderna to produce and deliver, given the super-cold temperatures required for the preservation of these mRNA vaccines and the costs involved. Pfizer has already scaled down its 2020 production target from 100-million doses to 50-million doses even if the US requires a minimum of almost 200 million doses.

The other major issue is, of course, the badmouthing of the Chinese vaccines by Dick Pascual of the Philippines Star and Dr. Leachon, the former Pfizer employee (according to Locsin) and some others.

I have answered some of the allegations in my previous article; and I will answer more in my forthcoming pieces.

For now, suffice it to say that, while over 1 million have already been inoculated with the Chinese vaccines, there is still not a single severe adverse side effect that has been reported by Western media, who would certainly like to sensationalize such an incident.
