Instead of a plenum to celebrate the 52nd anniversary of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), Jose Maria Sison, as ever driven by characteristic arrogance, caused to be organized an online forum participated in by various groups comprising the National Democratic Front (NDF), representing the masses, the Church, migrant workers and even his foreign network.

President Duterte, in not declaring a yuletide ceasefire, had forced the hand of Sison in red-tagging his otherwise legal fronts one more time. Leading the pack red-tagged by the CPP website was compatriots, the underground mass organization of the CPP that runs Migrante, an open mass organization of Filipino migrants.

The Christians for National Liberation (CNL), which is the underground organization running all church-based organizations like Rural Missionaries of the Philippines (RMP) etc, co-hosted the forum with the following speakers: bogus professor Jose Ma Sison (bogus because he does not have any credentials to show he is a professor, according to Department of Education); and bogus senior adviser of the peace panel Luis Jalandoni and Sister Coni Ledesma (both bogus peace panelists as there are no peace talks to speak of).

Surprisingly, none of the Makabayan’s political wannabes spoke, careful of course of being dragged deeper into CPP red net.

As always, the “participants” in the forum were cutting-edge precise in echoing Sison’s “call for punitive actions and revolutionary justice for the unrelenting attacks against unarmed activists (?), peasants (like the five farmers killed in Baras, Rizal?) and innocent (like those killed during the arrests in Tapaz?) civilians.

Check the International League of Peoples Struggle (ILPS) website and note that these are the same organizations of Sison’s CPP that are calling for a stop to these killings of armed “activists” and “farmers” but would not budge about the killings of Indigenous Peoples leaders opposing the CPP schools in their villages (Salugpungan, Alcadev, Trifpss, Clans).

The same organization and individuals who would not raise their eyelashes at the missing children recruited into Anakbayan, Gabriela-Youth, Kabataan, League of Filipino Students, College Editors Guild of the Philippines and later found dead with NPA rebels in the hills.

Some are not dead yet, but many are abused and raped by their NPA leaders.

Last December 28, local officials and local priests of Bulalacao, Oriental Mindoro accepted the surrender of Mary Jane Ganay @Elsie/Eljay, squad leader and political guide of platoon Serna, Kilusang Larangang Guerilla (KLG) MAV and Val Belleza @Justin S4/squad leader platoon MOC, KLG MAV.

Jane or @Elsie is 21 years old, from Magsaysay Occidental Mindoro. In 2015 she was invited by Daisylyn Castillo@Tikya, party wife of Marjun Malucon @Warren, platoon leader of KLG MAV, to attend her wedding. After the event, she was not allowed to go back to her family and was forced to join the NPA. The following year she took party courses and underwent military training in Namibian and Monteclaro, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro.

In 2018 she was impregnated by @Zander who was later killed in an encounter in Bulalacao. Two months after giving birth in December 2018, she was forced to join platoon Aque under @Kenjie and was not allowed to take care of her baby.

Later she found out that her baby was kidnapped from its ward by CPP allies and brought to Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro.

Last February 2020, Elsie was raped by her platoon leader @Kenjie, which resulted in Kenjie being punished with five years’ disciplinary action (DA) while @Elsie was forced to join the training of a special operations group (SOG).

In March 2020, she was wounded in an encounter in Puranas, Magsaysay, Occidental Mindoro where Gabriela-Youth member Justin Ella Vargas @Star was killed. The inaction of the CPP, Gabriela and Karapatan on the kidnapping and rape cases in the NPA prompted @Elsie to go AWOL.

Yet Jose Ma Sison expects his demoralized fighters to counter-attack? He has instructed the regional NPA commands to form SOGs for those operations. Really?

The document “Five Year Program of the CPP (2015-2019)” asks the question, “Why are there so many surrendering?” And their answer: poor quality of cadres, lack of discipline, immature leadership. It talks of how units report of new platoons formed on the ground yet in reality they only have a few elements. In short, dishonesty in reporting “ghost” platoon formations.

Last Dec. 30, 2020, Philip Alcantara y Valdez@Joshua was arrested in Guiguinto, Bulacan through a warrant of arrest (WA) for multiple frustrated murder. He is a platoon leader of the regional SOG of the Southern Tagalog regional party committee (STRPC).

Last December 17, during the serving of the arrest warrant @Dads, head of finance of SRMA4C in Baras, Rizal, three of the five NPAs killed were members of the regional SOG — Niño Alberga, Jonathan Alberga, Carlito Simon. Eight other members of the SOG escaped, although another was wounded. These regional SOG members whom the left fondly calls “farmers” or sometimes “activists” were armed with two M16 rifles, an Uzi machine pistol, and two cal.45 pistols.

Five other SOG members were neutralized in Southern Tagalog and another in Bicol earlier. Juanito Gonzaga@Rod/Jun fell in Masbate last February. In April 2020 Roldan Malucon@Jandie surrendered in Oriental Mindoro. The next day Eleuterio Serrano@Ritter was collared in Batangas. In May 2020, Felix Diaz Masong @Arjo/Rex/Aloy/Asga, regional SOG member of STRPC surrendered. In July 2020 @Rino/Jhay surrendered.

In October 2020, Ankwan Rauyan@Fernan/Temyong surrendered. He was followed by Elsie.

Of the 13 who graduated from the SOG regional training last March 2020, only eight remained. And as Solcom troops sat on the targeted headquarters of the ROC, STRPC in Monteclaro, San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, we don’t know where else the STRPC and its SOG will run to hide.

What about Joma Sison’s imported SOG “trainor,” volunteered by the compatriots and ILPS affiliates from the US? His famed Fil-am Amado Khaya Magalit Canham y Rodriguez @Allen/Glenn is dead after contracting Covid-19 while training in Occidental Mindoro.

Going back to the Sison order to deploy urban death squads, was this not the cause of the split of the Rejectionist (Rolando Kintanar, Arturo Tabara, Popoy Lagman, etc.) when the Reaffirmists (Sison faction) opposed the former’s urban insurrection campaign?

Sison denounced the use of Sparrow killing machines then but now he is shifting to this tactic, while pushing his peace talk overtures once again.

To keen observers of this 52-year insurgency, this shift in paradigm is a telltale sign that indeed, with his party and its “army”quickly crumbling, Sison is left with no other option but to swallow his pride and take the bitter pill.

22-year-old Filipino-South African activist Amado Khaya Canham Rodriguez’s death last August 4,2020 comes two years after moving from Oakland, United States to Occidental Mindoro further pursue his advocacy.
Studying in California High School, his status as a biracial Black student “seemed to marginalize him,” which motivated him to reactivate the Black Student Union with the birth of Black Lives Matter in response to the 2012 killing of Tayvon Martin. After graduating, Amado became involved with the Black Lives Matter Movement, and from there found his way to the New Peoples Army through Bayan USA.
Before he contracted Covid 19 and died in the mountains of San Jose, Rodriguez alias Ka Allen, served as trainor of CPP-NPA assassins called as special operations group.
