A latest poll conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) showed that 69 percent of Filipinos believe that the worst is already over for them amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19 pandemic).
The SWS’s poll results released on Thursday showed that the 69 percent is a substantial increase from the 47 percent of the survey conducted in September 2020.
However, The November 2020 SWS poll also showed that 31 percent of Filipinos said the worst is yet to come with regards to the Covid-19 crisis. This is lower than the 47 percent of September 2020.
The SWS also said that 78 percent of those surveyed in Metro Manila, the country’s Covid-19 hotpot, said the worst is over. In Balance Luzon, or areas outside of Metro Manila in Luzon, 69 percent said the worst is over followed by the Visayas at 67 percent, and Mindanao at 65 percent.
The November 2020 SWS survey asked participants how they felt about the Covid-19 pandemic, or if the worst is over or if the worst has yet to come.
The latest SWS survey covered 1,500 adults nationwide with 600 in Balance Luzon and 300 each in Metro Manila, Visayas, and Mindanao. SOVEREIGNPH
