CAMP ELIAS ANGELES, Pili, Camarines Sur – MajGen Henry Robinson Jr PA, 9ID commander ng 9th Infantry Division (9ID) personally conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of those who perished in the crash of the C-130 at Patikul, Sulu.
The entire division conducted an Interfaith Service, Wreath Laying at Flag Retreat Ceremony last July 10 for the honor and memory of the tragic accident.
Relatives of the victims graced the occasion.
The uncle of Sgt. Jack Navarro of the Philippine Air Force who was from Baap, Camarines Sur, was accompanied by Municipal Councilor Farah Besinio.
Unfortunately, no representative for Cpl. Dexter Estrada, who hailed from Nabua, could make it.
Following the interfaith and wreath-laying ceremonies, the participants offered candles and flowers to the 9ID Heroes’ Wall.
MajGen Robinson then read the message of Acting AFP Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Erickson Gloria honoring the victims. Gloria asked the public not just to pray for the members of the Armed Forces of the Philippines who died in the crash but to thank them for their sacrifice. He also said that the nation is grateful for the families thst shared them with the people.
