A rising number of churches in Canada are going up in flames the past weeks, which comes after a number of unmarked graves of indigenous children were found in grounds of closed schools.
However, there are also suspicions that far-left terrorists with Marxist ideology are perpetrating the burning of churches in Canada in an effort to discourage Canadian from practicing their faith, according to reports from CBN News.
Over the past few days, another two Catholic Churches were torched in Canada.
Reacting to the attack on churches, Jenn Allan-Riley, an assistant Pentecostal minister at Living Waters Church said during a press conference last week: “Burning down churches is not in solidarity with us indigenous people. As I said we do not destroy people’s places of worship,” said Jenn Allan-Riley, an assistant Pentecostal minister at Living Waters Church during a press conference last week.”
“We’re concerned about the burning and defacing of churches bringing more strife, depression, and anxiety to those already in pain and mourning,” she said.
Of the 45 churches that were set on flames, 17 were completely destroyed. There are also reports of Catholic churches across Canada being defaced with many bearing blood red hand and foot prints. And in what could be a show for sympathy for the children found in unmarked mass graves, a church in Saskatchewan was painted with “we were children” across its doors. The attacks on churches in Canada comes amid the discovery of at least three unmarked mass graves for at least 1,000 indigenous children at sites that hosted church-ran educational entities.
