Domagoso was immediately rushed to the Sta. Ana Hospital after testing positive for Covid-19. Previous to that, he said he experienced coughing, colds and body pains, but not the severe type.

While he was sent to the hospital to be treated for Covid-19, Domagoso assured his constituents that the Manila city government will continue its operations and efforts against Covid-19.
“Kapit lang. Tuloy ang buhay. Tuloy pa rin ang gobyerno sa Maynila. Umasa tayo, magtiwala tayo sa Diyos, makararaos din tayo (Hold on. Life will go on. The Manila city government will continue operatating. Let us be hop and trust in God. We will get past this),” he said.
While in the hospital, Domagoso will continue his duties as city mayor, according to the Manila PIO.
Domagoso’s getting Covid-19 was a week after Manila Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna tested positive for the virus.
