The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Friday mounted the 22nd special flight for distressed Filipinos in Macau, bringing the number of repatriates from the special administrative region to 4,397.
Onboard the latest flight, funded by the DFA through the Office of the Undersecretary for Migrant Workers’ Affairs, were 197 Filipinos.
For those who were not able to join the repatriation program, Philippine Consul General to Macau SAR Porfirio Mayo Jr. said more flights would be mounted and told interested Filipinos to register their details with the Consulate at https://tinyurl.com/repatMacau.
All repatriation flights from Macau are closely coordinated with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) and the Philippine Airlines.
Upon arrival, the repatriates will undergo necessary quarantine procedures and appropriate medical protocols as required by the Department of Health-Bureau of Quarantine.
