Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte is the top bet for president in 2022, according to a latest survey by Pulse Asia.
For vice president, Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III was the top pick in the Pulse Asia survey.
Duterte-Carpio got the preference rate of 20 percent of the respondents in the Pulse Asia survey that was conducted from September 6 to September 11, 2021.
Coming in second after Sara Duterte with 15 percent is former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.; Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso with 13 percent; and Senator Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao with 12 percent.
Rounding up the top presidential picks but with single-digit preference rates were Senator Grace Poe, Vice President Leni Robredo, and Senator Panfilo Lacson.
For vice president, Sotto topped the list with 25 followed by President Rodrigo Duterte with 14 percent, Moreno and Marcos with 12 percent each, and Pacquiao and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go with 7 percent each.
For its latest survey, Pulse Asia conducted face-to-face interviews of 2,400 adult Filipinos 18 years old and above, and had a 95-percent confidence level.
