The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on Tuesday reported that 20,693 police personnel have been fully vaccinated against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Citing the latest data, NCRPO chief Maj. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr. said this is equivalent to 89.72 percent of personnel under his command.

“Meanwhile, 6.16 percent or 1,420 already received their first dose and are in line to be vaccinated with their second dose (in) the coming weeks,” he added.

Meanwhile. 4.12 percent or 951 personnel are still undergoing medical assessment before they can be vaccinated.

“Personnel with medical-related background are assisting in the proper handling and administration of the vaccines to the recipients,” Danao said.

He added that as of Monday, the NCRPO recorded a 96.24 percent Covid-19 recovery rate, with 6,885 recoveries out of 7,154 confirmed cases.

The NCRPO currently has 248 active Covid-19 cases and 21 deaths.
