A photo showing dela Rosa holding his COC to run for president circulated in the media on Friday afternoon, with an official from PDP-Laban saying the tandem with Senator Christopher “Bong” Go will be called “Ba-Go.”

Go has already accepted the challenge to run for vice president in 2022.

“Ba-Go 2022,” PDP-Laban Secretary-General Melvin Matibag told reporters in a Viber group.

Dela Rosa was the Philippine National Police chief when President Rodrigo Duterte launched the war against illegal drugs.

Before dela Rosa filed his COC, media outlets were expecting President Duterte’s daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, to file her COC for president.

However, Sara Duterte has repeatedly said that she will not run for a national position in 2022.

On Oct. 2, President Duterte announced that Sara would run for president with Go as her running mate in the 2022 national elections. But Sara Duterte announced on Wednesday that she wants to finish her last term as mayor before seeking a higher government post.
