Former senator and incumbent Sorsogon Governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero and broadcaster Raffy Tulfo are the top candidates for senator in the 2022 polls, according to a latest survey conducted by Publicus Asia.
Former senator and House speaker and incumbent Pateros-Taguig Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano rounded up the top three choices for senator in 2022 among the 1,500 respondents surveyed by Publicus Asia.
“Francis Escudero is at the top spot with close to 60 percent of respondents indicating him as one of their preferred senatorial candidates. Tied at second place is returning senator Alan Peter Cayetano and newcomer Raffy Tulfo,” the survey firm said in a statement.
Trailing but not far from the top three incumbent Senators Sherwin Gatchalian and Juan Miguel Zubiri, and former senator Loren Legarda.
“Veteran senators Gatchalian, Legarda and Zubiri round out the list of candidates with shares on or above 40 percent,” Publicus Asia said.
