Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. met on Saturday in Cebu City as calls for the daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte to ran for a national position in 2022 has not waned.
“I confirm that we met with presidential aspirant and former senator BBM (Bongbong Marcos) during the birthday celebration of Cong. Yedda, the spouse of Majority Leader Martin Romualdez’s better half, in Cebu,” Sara Duterte said in Filipino.

However, Sara Duterte has stood firm in her position not to run for a national position in 2022, and is eyeing another term as Davao City mayor.
President Duterte also believes his daughter will no longer run for president in 2022.
“Inday (Sara) is definitely out as she has said earlier and for the oft-repeated statements in so many…I think interviews, she’d always maintain that she’s not running. She was just true to her words,” he said earlier.
Marcos, the standard bearer of the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas in the 2022 polls, arrived in Cebu City on Friday to launch his regional campaign headquarters in the city. He also paid a courtesy call to Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia.Sara Duterte has up to November 15 to decide on whether he will ran for a national position in 2022.
