DOLE Assistant Secretary Dominique Tutay said over 200 employers are participating in the nationwide job fair that started on December 6 and will run until December 13.

“We have recorded around 30,000 jobs day incentives, this is nationwide coming from more than 200 employers as well. We started yesterday here in the National Capital Region a first hand face to face job fair and our job seekers have the opportunity to interview by our employers themselves,” she said during the Laging Handa briefing on Tuesday.

“It is still going on in various regions until December 13, it can be done online and we also have face to face meetings in other parts of the country,” she added.

The public is advised to go to for information on the job fairs.

On the other hand, Tutay said some 7,000 overseas jobs are available in Europe and Asia.

“We have overseas vacancies that have been recorded around 7,000, such as cooks, waiters, nurses, even construction related plumbers. These are the job openings that are being offered at this job fair and they are in the UK, Germany, and Japan,” she added.

Tutay said those who are looking to be employed are qualified to participate in the job fairs.

“All of our job seekers, those who lost their jobs before and want to return to work, the same goes for our out of school youth who opted not to return to school but want to work, they are qualified to participate,” she said.

Aside from the National Capital Region, limited face-to-face and online job fairs will also be conducted in the Bicol Region, Zamboanga Peninsula and other parts of the country.

The nationwide job fairs are being held to commemorate the 88th founding anniversary of the DOLE.
