A recent poll conducted by Pulso ng Pilipinas shows former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. winning by landslide in the battle for the presidency this coming May.
The group said that based on the results of the polls, Marcos, running under the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas, is projected to get at least 33 million votes in May or a lead of 27 million over the 5.6 votes that Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo is projected to get in the elections.
The Pulso ng Pilipinas poll is a compilation and summation of all Kalye Survey results from information and statistical data provider Splat Communications, in cooperation with Simplified Strategic Solutions.
Splat has assumed a voter turnout of 82 percent or 54.94 million based its surveys conducted from January 1 to 31, 2021. The survey covered 113,548 respondents,
Meanwhile, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso is projected to get 4.6 million votes, while Senators Emmanuel “Manny” Pacquiao and and Panfilo “Ping” Lacson are projected to get 3.483 million and 3.395 million votes this May, respectively.
When it comes to percentages, Marcos leads the field with 60.30 percent while Robredo is a distant second with 9.77 percent, Domagoso 8.38 percent, Pacquiao 6.34 percent and Lacson, 2.54 percent.
With the polls nearing, Splat said the public must remain vigilant.
“With a little over three months left before the elections, please be observant and extra vigilant. Expect all the worst imaginable drama, intrigues, downright lies, smear campaigns, and threats against the frontrunner BBM,” Splat said.
“All of his opponents will become desperate as election day draws near. Now the disparity is as clear as day. This lead is insurmountable at this stage,” it added.
