If there is any basic lesson learned on how Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelenskyycondemned his country into an evitable war with Russia, it is never to let comedians run your store.
Last Thursday, March 10 at 10:25am GMA Network came out with this news:
“Envoy: Duterte willing to open facilities to US if Ukraine-Russia crisis spills over to Asia”
By 12:50 am, the USNews.com, the Associated Press picked it up but with a new headline:
“Philippines Ready to Back US if It Gets Embroiled in War”
The headlines went haywire.
At 3:46 PM, Joyce Ann Rocamora releases this article for the Philippines News Agency, headlined:
“PRRD to open facilities to US if Ukraine conflict reaches Asia”
Malaya.com, ABS-CBN.com, Benarnews.org and Ktar.com are among the first to syndicate the information. Yet what is the news all about?
The original report by GMA was factual as to the source. But wait a minute as to the content:
“President Rodrigo Duterte has expressed his willingness to open Philippine facilities to the United States military if the Russian-Ukraine crisis spills over to the Asian region, Manila’s top diplomat to Washington said Thursday.
“He says if they’re asking for the support of the Philippines he was very clear that if push comes to shove the Philippines will be ready to be part of the effort especially if this Ukrainian crisis spills over to the Asian region,” Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez told journalists at an online media forum.
“He offered that the Philippines will be ready to open its doors especially to our ally the US in using our facilities, any facilities they may need.
““The Philippine ambassador to Washington says Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte is ready to open the country’s “facilities” to American forces under a 1951 mutual defense treaty if Russia’s war against Ukraine turns for the worse and embroils the United States in the fighting.”
The real source was our ambassador to the United States.
But the information shared was fake news. In fact, GMA said, “The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has yet to issue a statement regarding this.”
GMA released information that has yet to be verified.
The worst spin came out of The Diplomat: “President Rodrigo Duterte reportedly pledged to grant the U.S. access to the former American Subic Bay naval station and Clark Air Base.”
The click bait is still circulating around the world and to get a full list of which published it, I used to subscribe to PRNews.com but I paid US dollars to access that information.
Philippine vote to the UN Resolution
This is no different from what our vote on the UN resolution to condemn the Russian attack on Ukraine that Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teddy Boy Locsin posted, as “in favor”.
Before and after this vote, Malacanang announced that the Philippine remain “neutral” on the Ukrainian War.
So who has been fucking around?
I will not bear arms even for this country on a war on Russia that has been declared by Teddy Boy Locsin or Babes Romualdez, two un-elected idiots in the executive branch of our government.
I served in our foreign affairs ministry from 1986 to 1993, as press attache of the Philippine Embassy in Washington DC with concurrent accreditation to the Permanent Office to the United Nations in New York City, and during our time, you can get fired for much less if caught pissing in public like this.
We hardly had warmed our seats in the US, when Ambassador Emmanuel Pelaez and I were recalled to the Philippines by President Corazon Aquino on February 1987 to head the peace negotiation panel for a few months to take over out talks with Nur Misuari because of Aquilino “Nene” Pimentel and Agapito “Butch” Aquino.
Pimentel and Aquino goofed by raising the Tripoli Agreement’s commitment of 13 Mindanao provinces to their Jeddah Accord for the entire Mindanao-Sulu-Palawan-Basilan and TawiTawi (Minsupalabasta for 25 provinces), what a treachery that could impeach the President!
Tito Maning warned me: “As my spokesman, be careful what you say to media, because it you commit a mistake I will ask either the military or the moros to shoot you on the spot! I will never cover-up for you because this matter is a life-and-death situation for our country.”
Well nitwits Locsin and Romualdez just declared war on Russia!
President Rodrigo Duterte has been merciful to this two comedians for years now, can we now send these jokers to smithereens with our bare hands?
Our vote to the United Nations resolutions should have been “Abstain” especially because the President, as chief architect of our foreign policy had already announced that the Philippines has adopted neutrality on the issue.
The Romualdez clickbait is still circulating, has Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar, as the president’s latest spokesman, done anything to correct the fake news?
I will not even fault PTV-4 for airing the news on the vening of March 10, because the government’s news agency was their source.
It appears to me that the Philippine News Agency has been infiltrated by American agents, just like the Department of Foreign Affairs.
If Rocamora the writer interpreted Romualdez’ statement as that of President Duterte’s and wrote that headline, and the PNA desk editor sanctioned it, then both of them must be fired. If his editor authored the title, then only the editor must go.
The headline does not jibe with the story, which GMA said has to be verified.
Romualdez, Locsin, Rocamora and his desk editor cannot declare war with any country. This is a national security issue which is the province of Secretary of Defense Delfin Lorenzana and National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon Jr., not the foreign affairs department or the government news agency.
In fact, Lorenzana and Esperon can only recommend to Duterte.
The president of the Philippines is the only person in government that can commit us to war.
Zelensky’s jokers in government?
This came from Arab Press, quoted verbatim, and I would like you to please help me confirm or deny all of them:
“1. The Chief of Staff of the Presidential Palace, Andre Yemark, is a comedy producer;
“2. The head of the Presidential Administration, Andre Bodin, is a lawyer in the entertainment industry;
“3. The president’s chief policy adviser, Sergey Sheffey, is a comedy writer;
“4. Ivan Bakanov, deputy chairman of the Ukrainian Supreme Intelligence Service, is the boss of a comedy film company;
“5. Senior adviser to the Ukrainian National Defense Committee, Sergei Sivoko, is also a comedian and is Zelensky’s partner in acting.
“I do not have the tools nor the intelligence to know what’s behind secret doors, all I have is simple facts:
“Ukraine recognizes dual nationality.
“80% of senior government officials are American citizens.
“Nothing wrong with that, obviously. It’s just illegal in most countries (but somehow legal in Ukraine).
“90% of the wealth and people of the rich are in London or Switzerland.
“The three ministers appointed by Ukraine’s parliament in November 2014 are all foreigners: The Secretary of the Treasury is American; The Minister of Health is Georgian; The Minister of Economy is Lithuanian;
“The former president of Georgia was the governor of Odessa;
“The last president, Petro Poroshenko, claimed by Russia to be a CIA informant.
“I checked the maximum I could. I did not find evidence to support this claim. All what I found is that it is a smart guy, that did a lot to develop Ukraine for the better.
“As for the grassroots troops, many frontline commanders are American and have joined Ukraine in recent years.
“In terms of quantitative statistics, the indicators are like this:
“1. 80% of senior officials hold U.S. citizenship (dual citizenship is legal).
“2. 90% of the wealth of the rich are in Europe and the United States.
“3. Zelensky has a mansion and huge assets in the United States.
“What is the ultimate goal of so many people with American and Western European nationalities infiltrating Ukraine? No idea. Easy to fall into conspiracy theory, or to be fulled be no believing the obvious because it sound conspiratorial.”
If you could help verify some or all of this, please address your updates to my Messenger @FB Ado Paglinawan. By the way in this case, I have to identify my source.
