With barely two weeks before polling day, the crickets have come out.

The traditional politicians in handshake with communist terrorists have kept themselves mum, but their body English confirm what the crickets are sounding off!

The noose too is tightening.

The Supreme Court has scrapped appeals against its December decision on petitions to strike down parts of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

“The Supreme Court, during its en banc session…denies with finality the motions of reconsideration of its December 7, 2021 decision on the petitions challenging Republic Act No. 11479, or the Anti-Terrorism Act,” said a statement from the magistrates released below.

Motions were for reconsideration were denied “due to lack of substantial issues and arguments raised by the petitioners.”

The decision places the government and peacekeeping forces to better position their cases against elements of the CPP-NPA-NDF who have been using fronts in this election over what they term as parliamentary struggle.

This development comes timely in the face of alleged threats from the camp of Vice President Leni Robredo to sow “possible terrorist action” if Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will win in the May 9 elections.

Presidential aspirant and former Defense secretary Norberto Gonzales said if it were true then communist elements may have infiltrated her campaign, “Ang tinitingnan ko talaga kung talagang nanggaling sa Vice President iyan. Hindi niya talaga pinaniniwalaan ang resulta ng survey kaya naghahanap na sila ng other options, possibilities dito sa sinasabing possible terrorist action (What I’m really looking at is if those really came from the Vice President’s camp. She doesn’t really believe in the results of surveys so they are now searching for other options and possibilities here, on that alleged possible terrorist action).”

Hindi ko masasabi na walang communist element sa grupo ni (I can’t say that there’s no communist elements within the group of) Vice President,” Gonzales said there’s still time to verify the legitimacy of the alleged planned violence.

This was not the first time that Robredo was linked to communist terrorist groups but she had repeatedly dismissed the so-called coalition.

Badoy refutes Robredo denial

National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict spokesperson for Sectoral Concerns, Communications Undersecretary Lorraine Marie Badoy, previously lashed at the Robredo camp as the alleged endorsement of Communist Party of the Philippines founder, Jose Maria Sison, “is proof positive that this marriage made in the bowels of hell has been consummated.

Expectedly, Robredo denied the allegation, saying “Hindi ako makikipag-alyado sa kahit sinong gumagamit ng dahas para magsulong ng anumang agenda (will never forge an alliance with anyone using force to advance any agenda).”

She said such accusations claiming she is in an alliance with communist rebels were only meant to stop the momentum of her campaign for the May elections.

Undersecretary Badoy earlier said Robredo has formed a “tactical alliance” with communist terrorists that is “mutually beneficial to the both of them.”

Citing Robredo’s March 4 campaign sortie in Cavite, Badoy said the Vice President even shared the stage with communist “operatives.”

Badoy said Robredo’s camp should stop denying the deal with members of the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF), noting that CPP founder, Jose Maria “Joma” Sison even tweeted his official endorsement of her candidacy.

“VP Leni Robredo’s camp should stop insulting the intelligence of the Filipino people by pretending they have not made a pact with the devil, the communist terrorist CPP-NPA-NDF,” she said.

Sison advises Robredo?

Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) founding chairman Jose Maria “Joma” Sison admitted that he serves as an adviser to Vice President Maria Leonor “Leni” Robredo and her spokesman, according to a television news report.

The report over NET 25’s “Mata ng Agila” also quoted Sison as saying that he was a “leading contributor” in Robredo’s campaign and was in touch “several times” with Robredo spokesman, lawyer Barry Gutierrez, to whom he allegedly laid down some of the points on how the media would start attacking other presidential candidates, particularly, Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso and former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.

It added that Sison, in an interview, called on all partisans to “be patient and be stable in supporting Robredo” who allegedly “committed to stand along with the masses against an abusive system.”

The CCP chief also warned that the masses will call for the downfall of the Duterte administration if the President attempts to cheat in the elections, according to the report.

Gutierrez, spokesman for Robredo, branded as an “outright lie” the allegation that Sison had offered him and his staff advice and said that their lawyers were “studying the appropriate case to be filed against these perpetrators of misinformation.”

With about two weeks left before the elections on May 9, presidential candidates have turned on the heat against each other.

Just last week, Domagoso, Sen. Panfilo Lacson and former Defense secretary Norberto Gonzales asked Robredo to withdraw from the race, dousing speculation they would withdraw to improve her chances of defeating Marcos.

But in a press conference on Sunday, Domagoso, Lacson and Gonzales accused Robredo of trying to get them to withdraw and strip them of support.

“Each of us will continue with our respective presidential campaigns,” Domagoso, a celebrity mayor, told reporters at a luxury hotel in Manila, “I’m calling for Leni to withdraw because whatever you’re doing is not effective against Marcos.”

Lacson accused Robredo of “lying,” claiming she had previously told him that she would not run for president. He also alleged she had exaggerated the crowd size at a recent rally.

“You deceive once, you deceive twice, you will deceive all the time,” he said.

Ressa-Badoy repartee

Of late, Maria Ressa lodged a complaint before the Office of the Ombudsman against Lorraine Badoy for her alleged defamatory statements and red-tagging and for conduct unbecoming of a high government official.

Ressa, who is on bail on conviction of cyberlibel, said Badoy should be held liable for misconduct and conduct prejudicial to the best interests of the service when the latter called her a “bare-faced liar,” a “rotten soul,” and claimed she had “billionaire handlers” and “powerful global connections” without offering proof.

Ressa vs Badoy

Undersecretary Badoy said the complaint filed by Rappler CEO Maria Ressa, is nothing more than one more attempt by the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) to silence the task force.

“Indeed, Rappler is a mouthpiece of this terrorist organization,” Badoy read her statement during a press briefing held at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City after filing a counter-affidavit against the KABAG Bloc. “I submit that there can be no better conduct of a high government official than to uphold my oath of office to defend and protect the Constitution from all threats and to use the powers vested on me to defeat a terrorist organization that has destroyed our people and our bright promise as a nation.”

The undersecretary said nothing can stop the NTF-ELCAC from speaking the truth about the CPP-NPA-NDF – “Rappler has used its highly powerful position as fact-checker of Facebook, a platform with 75 million Filipinos in it, to silence those of us who speak the truth about the CPP NPA NDF. It has been one of its fiercest protectors and defenders– no different from the CPP NPA ND- created Bulatlat and Kodao.”

Badoy went for the kill – “Not only has the Nobel Peace Prize been disparaged by Maria Ressa but disparaged beyond repair. The day it was awarded to her was the day the Nobel Peace Prize died and exposed for what it had come to mean to the Filipino people: a worthless, dangerous trinket conferred by powerful puppet masters on vassals with no real love for country and who willingly do the bidding of their Western overlords to cause war, bloodshed and grief.

“(Ressa) has fashioned herself as a martyr to a gullible Western media by lying about the state of Philippine press  in what must be the freest free press in the known democratic world when all she really is is a common criminal convicted of cyberlibel (on bail pending appeal) by the horrid lies she’s told about ordinary citizens using her clout as head of a foreign-funded blogsite that’s violated Philippine SEC laws wholesale.”

This smokes and mirror play by Rappler and its CEO  has gone for a very very long mile already.

First, I cannot understand why Rappler whose incorporation has been revoked twice, the second after the Court of Appeals remanded the case to the Securities and Exchange Commission, is still operating like business-as-usual. This is not a criminal case, so the onus should be on the shoulders of Rappler, not the Supreme Court. The incorporation should stay revoked unless reversed by an upper court, since the SEC is a quasi-judicial body and due to the severity of a Constitutional violation, for a media organization being owned and controlled by foreign interests.

Second, even just by conviction by the lower court, the Solicitor-General should be tasked into moving for the revocation of her Philippine dual citizenship, presently for activities involving collaboration with terrorist groups and insidious foreign entities engaged in espionage and regime change. Such denaturalization is just proper for being persona-non-grata to national security.

Volley of legal cases

Besides Maria Ressa, cases rained against the National Task Force for the Elimination of Local Communist Armed Conflict, with the plaintiffs identified as all urban operatives of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

Roberto de Castro is Komiteng Tagapagpaganap member of the National United Front Committee (NUFC) of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

Satur Ocampo is an honorary member of the Central Committee and former Education Deputy Secretary of the NUFC of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

Sarah Elago is Komiteng Tagapagpaganap member of the National Youth Sector Bureau for NUSP of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

Teddy Casino is Komiteng Tagapagpaganap Member of the NUFC of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

Arlene Brosas was former Komiteng Tagapagpaganap member of the Manila Rizal Regional Party Committee, Secretary of the Women’s Bureau in the NCR of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

France Castro is Education Deputy Secretary of the National Teachers’ Bureau of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

Ariel Casilao is a member of the National Peasant Bureau of the CPP-NPA-NDF.

The NTF ELCAC, on the other hand, has a mountain of cases we are set on filing and have filed against the so-called Makabayan Groups under a new monicker “KABAG”—for partylists Kabataan, ACT, Bayan Muna, Anakpawis, and Gabriela.

Badoy said, “The CPP-NPA-NDF is the biggest crime syndicate in the country and one of the biggest in the world. The very reason they want to be voted back into Congress is so they can once again cause our people the unrelenting pain and destruction they have given us in spades for the past 53 years.”

Our judicial system has been so-compromised by politics, our lawyers should be ashamed of themselves.

Now that the Anti-Terror Law has been cleared with finality by the Supreme Court, I think all our prosecutor bodies should already rock-and-roll over these insidious elements of our society.
